The NFL is expanding its season length, and Alvin Kamara is not happy about it.
The Saints running back has been outspoken on a few issues close to the team in the past — such as DPI-Gate, in the 2018 NFC Championship game — and also ones related to his performance. He had some stretches in the 2019 season where he just wasn’t playing up to his standards, but blamed injuries for it.
Last season was better for Kamara, who looked like his old self, catching passes and taking handoffs for chunk plays, with 187 carries for 932 yards — an impressive 5.0 yards per carry. He’ll look to build on that next season, and will have an extra game to pad his stats. But he doesn’t sound on board with the idea.
We’re willing to bet he’s not the only NFL’er to feel that way.
