Insane stat shows just how dominant Yankees have been over Red Sox

Remember when the division rival Red Sox and Yankees treated fans to some epic matchups on the baseball diamond — both in the regular season and in the playoffs?

Yeah, us neither.

It seems like only yesterday that the two teams were actually on the same level, going toe-to-toe, like when they battled it out in the 2018 American League Division Series. The Red Sox went on to win the World Series that year, but they came down with a horrible case of the “championship flu” from then on, and have never recovered — rebuilding ever since.

And the Yankees, on the other hand, have built an absolute juggernaut, and they’ll certainly be competing for a title this season.

As for the Red Sox, well, they’re on the other side of the fence, and will likely continue to get destroyed by the Yankees, who had beaten them 13 of the last 14 times the two played heading into Sunday’s game.

It’s now 14 of 15, as the Bronx Bombers defeated their heated division rival, 4-2, at Yankee Stadium on Sunday.
