The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off an upset win over the Colts in Week 1, but they’ve looked downright abysmal in the games that have followed.
Many analysts ranked the Jaguars as the worst team in the NFL before the season — as did we — but the (0-5) Jets currently occupy that spot at the bottom of the standings.
The Jaguars will, however, likely give the Jets a run for their money in the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, given what we watch on the field every week. Sunday’s game against the Texans featured one particularly comical play, when the team was faced with a fourth-and-1 situation. trailing by six points deep in Houston territory.
Jacksonville had the option to kick a field goal, but kicker Stephen Hauschka had already missed his two previous attempts. The team elected to go for it on fourth down, but instead had running back James Robinson under center. They didn’t just simply have him run it, though, as Robinson rolled right, then just simply coughed up the football, somehow.
The Texans benefited from the turnover, as a scoring drive that followed put the game out of reach.
