The (4-0) Green Bay Packers have yet to lose a game this season, and they’re feeling good about themselves, but that sense of confidence appeared to have led to the team’s backup running back saying something he probably shouldn’t have.
Green Bay is coming off the bye week, with plenty of time to prepare for their upcoming Week 6 game against the Bucs, and they’ve probably been watching a lot of Tom Brady film. TB12 decimated opposing defenses in his prime with the Patriots, but this season has been a mixed bag, as he’s made some dime throws, but also struggled with accuracy at times, and has even tossed a few pick-sixes.
And everyone remembers when he appeared to forget what down it was in the team’s 20-19 loss against the Bears last Thursday night, including Packers running back Jamaal Williams.
In fact, the Packers running back took to the The Jamaal Williams show, and had the following to say about Brady, and his fourth-down fail.
“Come on, man,” Williams began, as transcribed by Pewter Report. “I’m pretty sure my quarterback knows what fourth down is, you know what I mean? That’s what I’m saying, like, Aaron Rodgers would never do that. Never. You know what I mean?”
It’s never a good idea to poke the bear, especially when said bear has more Super Bowl rings than any player in NFL history.
