Jarvis Landry reacts to Covid-19 news, missing game for first time in career

The Browns, all of a sudden, have a chance at the AFC North title, but they’ll have to play their upcoming game with a patchwork group of receivers.

Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Jarvis Landry and KhaDarel Hodge all were in close proximity to Browns linebacker BJ Goodson, who tested positive for Covid-19. As such, they were ruled to be high-risk contacts, and will be force to miss Sunday’s Week 16 game against the Jets.

Landry has never missed a game in his NFL career, and he was not happy about having his Iron Man streak come to an end due to a rule put in place by the league.

It’s easy to understand why Landry feels that way, as he didn’t really do anything to put his status in jeopardy. He didn’t pull a move like James Harden or Dwayne Haskins did. In fact, Haskins will likely be starting under center in Week 16 for the Washington Football Team, so the league’s COVID-19 protocols do come off as a bit unfair in some situations.

As for the Browns, they dropped from 10-point favorites, down to 6.5, after the injury news.
