The Heat may have been listed as a sizable underdog in their second-round playoff series against the Bucks, but they played like the favorite throughout, nearly even emerging with a sweep of the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
And they were led by Jimmy Butler, who, despite squaring off against reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, was the best player on the court. Butler showed his veteran leadership in controlling the tempo of the game, and getting his teammates involved, but he also flashed his ability to close out contests.
Speaking of closing, the Heat did exactly that in only five games, putting an end to the Bucks’ postseason run not too long after it initially began. And Butler made sure to send a message to everyone that overlooked the Heat, rocking a MC Hammer-themed “Too Legit to Quit” t-shirt after the Game 5 win.
Jimmy really is a treat to watch and listen to — both on and off the court.
