Kevin Durant is one of the greatest basketball players on the planet, and there were times, when healthy, that he was viewed to be the best.
And while LeBron James has won more titles (three) than KD (two), Durant’s length and skill set make him unguardable to defend at times. He’s been known to take over games, no matter what the opposing team’s coverage looks like, and that’s why he won back-to-back Finals MVP awards with the Warriors.
When it’s all said and done, Durant will likely have put himself into the discussion for the top 10 NBA players of all time, and maybe even top five, depending on how he returns from his Achilles injury. And while he hasn’t discussed where he stacks up publicly as of yet, he sure doesn’t believe LeBron James is the GOAT.
A fan recently approached him calling LeBron the greatest, and well, Durant certainly didn’t agree.
“That’s crazy,” Durant said in response.
We agree. Michael Jordan is the GOAT, and unless James wins a few more rings, that’s just what it is.
