We remember when Kyler Murray and CeeDee Lamb made sweet magic at Oklahoma, and apparently, the quarterback wanted to recreate it in Arizona.
Kyler Murray was drafted by the Cardinals with the No. 1 overall pick in last year’s draft, but a big factor that made him great was his relationship with top receiver CeeDee Lamb. The two comprised an unstoppable connection that college defenses — especially those in the Big 12 — simply could not stop.
Both players were drafted in the first round, as Lamb was taken with the 18th overall pick by the Cowboys this year. But apparently, Murray was hoping the Cardinals would have done so instead, 10 picks prior.
The Cardinals may have passed on drafting Lamb, but Murray — with the team having traded for DeAndre Hopkins — is loaded with weapons around him. Not only that, they were lucky to have one of the best players in the draft, hybrid linebacker Isaiah Simmons, fall to them. It sure worked out well.
