Patrick Mahomes is one competitive guy.
Mahomes is known for his strong arm, but Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen received a 99 rating in throw power in Madden, while Mahomes was given only a 97.
Mahomes was the first player to receive a 99 overall this season, but that wasn’t enough.
He wasn’t pleased with his throw power rating, and challenged Allen to a throwing contest when ESPN interviewed him as part of its SportsCenter Special: Madden NFL 21.
“Obviously, Josh has an extremely strong arm, but I’ve yet to see someone have a stronger arm than me,” Mahomes said. “I know we talked about maybe having a throw-off and we can really prove who has the strongest arm. I have the ultimate confidence in myself and I do believe I have the strongest arm. I have the ultimate belief in myself. I mean, he does have a strong arm, but if I put it out there like 80-85 yards… If he beats that he beats it.”
Allen essentially challenged Mahomes to a throw-off last year during an appearance on Pardon My Take.
Buffalo hosts Kansas City for Thursday Night Football on October 15th, so then we’ll be able to see these two square off with their very strong arms.
