When you’re playing professional baseball in the middle of a pandemic, you must be prepared.
After Brewers shortstop Orlando Arcia hit a line-drive single in the third inning on his first trip up to bat against Chicago on Opening Day, Rizzo was kind enough to hand his opponent some hand sanitizer upon reaching his base.
The offer was kindly received, and some germs were taken care of as Rizzo laughed off the interaction.
Watch below:
In another very generous move, Rizzo also has signs from many of the children supported by his Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation filling some of the empty seats up there at Wrigley Field.
Rizzo is doing it all during quarantine baseball.
The extra effort from Rizzo won’t go unnoticed.
