Mitchell Trubisky entered the season as arguably the NFL’s worst starting quarterback, and it appears he’s already picking up where he left off in 2019.
And by that, we mean that he struggles with accuracy, as well as footwork. He has all the physical tools to be a capable starting quarterback, but there are simply way too many red flags that he’s yet to overcome. And that’s exactly why the Bears signed veteran quarterback Nick Foles during the offseason, as insurance, in case Trubisky continues to struggle.
Well, he sure did during Sunday’s Game against the Lions. His accuracy woes continue, especially on one particularly-awful fourth-down pass attempt, which soared well behind Tedd Ginn Jr.
It will be interesting to see how long Foles sits on the bench.
