Even DK Metcalf believes Eagles should bench Carson Wentz, start Jalen Hurts

Eagles quarterback Carson Wenty leads the league in turnovers, and even though his (3-6-1) team sits atop the NFC East standings — it’s unlikely they’ll do so for much longer. A Week 12 showdown with the Seahawks figures to be their most difficult task of the season, and they’re listed as five-point underdogs for a reason.

In the meantime, there’s a lot of talk about what the Eagles should do at the quarterback position. They drafted Jalen Hurts in the second round earlier this spring, and the offense could really use a spark. Unfortunately, they have a ton of money invested in Wentz, so it’s not an easy decision to make.

What’s interesting, though, is that one of their opponents next week believes they should make a change. Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf should probably be focusing on his own team, yet he took to Instagram to say that the Eagles should start Hurts.

The Seahawks have been watching Eagles tape this week, so maybe Metcalf sees something that Philadelphia’s coaching staff doesn’t. At any rate, he may be correct, as Wentz has been awful this season, but the financial implications of a potential change make pulling the trigger difficult.
