The Indianapolis Colts moved on from the Andrew Luck era, and now there’s a new veteran sheriff in town starting under center.
Jacoby Brissett filled in admirably last season when Luck shocked the world by announcing his retirement just before the team’s 2019 campaign began. As a fill-in spot starter, he fared well, but he simply isn’t a starting quarterback at the NFL level.
Philip Rivers, however, is.
Rivers has proven himself time and time again each year, despite the awful offensive line the Chargers had him operating behind. But now, at 38 years of age, he gets the benefit of a stout group up front, and tons of receiving talent around him.
The team shared photos of Rivers rocking a Colts uniform for the first time, and, well, they are something!
It’s going to take some getting used to, seeing Brady wearing a Bucs uniform, and Rivers playing for the Colts, but we’ll get there — eventually.
