The Dallas Cowboys had a great opportunity to get back in the win column against a winless New York Giants team, but they sure didn’t put themselves in position to do so early in the Week 5 game.
It looked like a get-right spot for the Cowboys, a team that some picked to win the NFC, yet had only one win entering the Week 5 contest.
Dallas has not started games well, and facing a team that had mustered only three points in the first quarter of games all season gave them a shot to break that trend.
They didn’t, instead falling behind 14-3 after one stanza was in the books. Fans in the stands at AT&T Stadium let them know about it following a stalled drive on offense, showering the Cowboys with boos.
Well deserved, given that putrid start.
