The Steelers were undefeated heading into recent games against the Titans and Ravens, but neither of those teams could ruin their chance of a perfect season.
And with the team squaring off against the hapless Cowboys on Sunday, it sure didn’t look like their win streak was going to come to an end anytime soon.
But the Cowboys had other plans.
Veteran quarterback Garrett Gilbert provided the spark the team needed, and the Cowboys jumped out to a 10-0 lead. They extended it by reaching into their bag of tricks on a punt return, and it worked.
The Steelers used a great punt to pin the Cowboys inside the 10-yard line, but Cedric Wilson fielded it and threw the ball across the field to teammate CJ Goodwin. The speedy cornerback took off running up the sideline, and nearly scored, but was tripped up at the end of the play.
No touchdown, but the big play flipped the field position and led to a Cowboys field goal.
