Did Chris Paul throw shade at former teammate James Harden ahead of Game 7?

It was only a little more than one year ago when Chris Paul was still on the Rockets roster, and yet, here he is, torching the team in their playoff series, putting them on the brink of elimination.

Paul and James Harden didn’t get along as teammates, and their styles clash, as they’re both ball-dominant players that like to control the game. There are only so many touches to go around. So Harden appeared to have pushed for the Rockets to move CP3, and they did, trading him away to the Thunder last July, and acquiring Russell Westbrook in the deal to replace him.

Well, he’s been making them pay for doing so, having put his team on his back on the past two contests, drilling back-to-back three-pointers to manufacture a late comeback in Game 6. And now the Rockets and Thunder are getting set to square off in a winner-take-all Game 7.

As for Paul, he’s been known to throw some shade over the years, which is why many have been dissecting what he had to say after the Game 6 win.

“When it gets to clutch time and fourth quarter, some people are built for it, some people shy away from it,” he said. “You saw Damian Lillard and all that stuff, like some people built for it.”

It sure looks like CP3 was throwing some shade at Harden, who has been known to struggle down the stretch in playoff games.
