Going through labor can be a very stressful time for some expecting mothers, and as the man in the delivery room trying to calm your partner’s nerves, there’s a few tricks to ease the pain.
Morgan Hart, in her 17th hour of labor, Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower provided the motivational message to help her get things going.
The New England Patriots linebacker began chanting: “28-3.”
“It was a long night and a long day, and he kept reminding me, ’28-3, 28-3,′ meaning you can be behind and come back. Never, never give up,” Hart told the Boston Globe. “Dont’a is a motivator and always has been. 28-3 is about what you can do as a team, and, in this case, it was the two of us as a team. He kind of renewed my spirit that he was in this with me, and if I wavered at all, he was here to pick me back up.
“He got me through it, for sure.”
After trailing by as many as 25 points (28–3) during the third quarter of Super Bowl LI, the Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons, 34–28 in overtime. As such, the game is often known as “28–3” after the Falcons’ blown lead.
The Patriots’ 25-point comeback is still the largest in Super Bowl history.
Glad to see the family is doing great, happy and healthy.
