Eagles’ Carson Wentz gets roasted on Twitter for struggles vs. Browns

Carson Wentz’s struggles continued on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Heading into Sunday’s game, the Philadelphia Eagles’ signal-caller had thrown just 12 touchdowns along with 12 interceptions this season.

After shaking off some rust from the bye week two weeks ago, Wentz was looking forward to possibly bouncing back against the Browns on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the fifth-year quarterback’s struggles have yet to go away.

Early on, Wentz was in a rhythm. Once it looked like the Eagles’ quarterback was beginning to turn things around, he threw a pick-six to give the Browns the lead.

While the Eagles’ offense struggled as a whole, Wentz didn’t do his team any favors. At times, Wentz held onto the ball too long while staring down his receivers, which led to sacks.

Other times, he’d make questionable decisions on the throws he could get off, which led to NFL fans taking advantage of his struggles by getting jokes via Twitter.

Losing to the Cleveland Browns isn’t as embarrassing as it used to be.

But Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles have quickly become one of the biggest laughing stocks in the NFL in 2020.

Will the Eagles finally look to replace Wentz with the 2020 second-round pick, Jalen Hurts? Only time will tell — but as long as Wentz is on the field continuing to struggle, he will likely continue to be Twitter’s favorite target on Sunday’s.
