Is Davante Adams angling to play for Raiders?

It seems like Aaron Rodgers has played his final game for the Packers, whether he suits up to play in 2021 or not, and his best friend on the team may take a page out of his book in the future.

Davante Adams, who is closer to Rodgers than anyone on the team, is entering the final year of his contract. He didn’t sign an extension last season, although it’s unclear if the team offered him one or not. The fact remains that Adams has earned it, as he, at times, looks like the most dominant receiver in the NFL.

But his production may take a huge hit if he’s not catching passes from Rodgers this season. Having Jordan Love or someone else under center will make life difficult for Adams.

And while he’s been fairly quiet about the Rodgers situation, a recent comment he made suggests he may prefer to play in Las Vegas over Green Bay. It came in the form of praise for Derek Carr — who he played with at Fresno State- but we believe it had deeper meaning.

“I love Derek to death,” Adams said, during an interview an interview with ABC 30. “We’ve got a great friendship and we still communicate really, really consistently. He’s one of my best friends. Obviously, it would be a dream to be able to play with him, but I’m a Packer now. Until that point when we make that decision, I guess we just got to, we’ll see what happens.”

Adams is from the Bay Area, so we could totally see him returning to the franchise that once resided in Oakland.
