The 2019-20 NBA regular season restart hasn’t even begun yet, but it appears as if LeBron James is already in midseason mode.
James and the Lakers are attempting to pick up where they left off when play was suspended — destroying nearly everyone in their path, as the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference standings.
And even though the Lakers (as well as the rest of the NBA’s teams) are just going through the motions, scrimmaging other squads, James is apparently taking these exhibition games seriously.
The Lakers recently scrimmaged the Magic, and in the middle of the meaningless game, James called out Michael Carter-Williams — making light of his weaknesses.
An in-game scouting report during a meaningless scrimmage — that’s something you’ll rarely ever hear.
