Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made it clear over the years that he doesn’t support his players disrespecting the flag or the national anthem, so he kept his eyes peeled before Sunday’s game against the Rams.
There had been a lot of talk about who may or may not protest social injustice and police brutality, and it sure looked like Jones didn’t know who of his players may do exactly that.
Dontari Poe chose to take a knee, and received some support from his teammates while doing so. He was the first-ever Cowboys player to kneel during the national anthem.
Jones could be seen in his suite looking at which of his players were attempting to protest the anthem, and the social media world took notice.
The Cowboys owner didn’t look all that happy about Poe’s gesture.
