Browns running back Nick Chubb was the best offensive player on the field in Sunday’s Pittsburgh-Cleveland Week 17 showdown, and he played like it right out of the gate.
Cleveland controlled its own destiny, as it was faced with a must-win spot. A loss likely would’ve eliminated them, depending on what happened with other AFC teams.
Chubb was clearly aware of it, as he played with urgency right out of the gate. He received a handoff on first down in Steelers territory, and made the most of it. Chubb used great vision to burst through a hole and find running room, where he was met by All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Chubb wasn’t fazed, though, as he juked Fitzpatrick, and capped off the run with a 47-yard touchdown.
He continues to show why he’s one of the top running backs in the league.
