The Rockets and Warriors squared off in the playoffs a number of times in the past, and the two teams developed a bit of a rivalry as a result.
There wasn’t much bad blood between them before that time, but the Warriors prevented the Rockets from potentially winning a title during James Harden’s prime years, and for that, Houston may never forgive Golden State.
Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta clearly has not, as the Warriors will be stuck with paying a massive amount of money for the luxury tax, following their acquisition of Kelly Oubre Jr. Fertitta essentially pointed out — in the form of a retweet — news of them being likely stuck with a $82.4 million bill.
That’s about as petty as it gets, but Fertitta appears to still be feeling salty over the playoff eliminations the Warriors served up his team.
