Very few professional head coaches are on social media, but Sean Payton marches to the beat of a different drummer.
Payton is one of the more outspoken coaches in the NFL, and he has a charismatic personality, so he’s perfect for Twitter. He’s a players’ coach, and tends to join them on their level, rather than talking down to them.
So that’s probably why he’s on Twitter. Or, maybe it’s to keep tabs on his players, like he did with Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan recently.
Jordan posted a tweet about being caught up in the flow of traffic on the way to practice, potentially making him late, and that’s when Payton came in from the top rope — with this perfect reply.
