Fox Sports’ releases statement on Skip Bayless’ Dak Prescott comments

|

Dak Prescott’s brother died in April of an apparent suicide.

Dak battled depression. He showed courage and bravery to maybe help someone who is afraid to speak up.

Prescott opened up about his battle with depression Wednesday on the podcast “In Depth with Graham Bensinger.”

Skip Bayless was not feeling Dak’s reaction, because according to Skip, Dak plays QB in the NFL and shouldn’t display weakness.

“I have deep compassion for clinical depression, but when it comes to the quarterback of an NFL team … it’s the ultimate leadership position in sports,” Bayless said on his Fox Sports show. “Because of all that, I don’t have sympathy for him going public with, ‘I got depressed.’”

Following Skip’s insensitive take, Fox Sports released a statement:

Sometimes Skip does his job too well, and this is one hot take he probably wishes he could take back.
