Mike Tyson claims he can beat UFC superstar Conor McGregor

Those are fighting words.

Legendary boxing champ Mike Tyson has laughed off a hypothetical challenge from ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, claiming that McGregor would pose no threat as long as they fought under boxing rules.

Tyson returns to the ring with an eight-round exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr in California on September 12th.

McGregor has showered praise on Tyson in the past:

Despite being 22 years younger, and a former two-weight champion in the Octagon, Tyson feels his weight advantage over lightweight McGregor, would give him the edge.

Tyson went on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss the hypothetical scenario:

I’m gonna kick his ass anyways
