The NFL has reached its quarter-mark of the season, and talk has already shifted to season awards.
It’s an interesting topic of discussion, given how bad defenses have been this season, much of which is probably a result of the virtual offseason, due to all the issues posed by Covid-19. There have been more points scored in the first four weeks of the 2020 season than in any other season in league history.
Quarterback play around the league has been impressive, as they seem to be taking advantage of miscommunications on defense, resulting in blown coverages and big plays. Strong-armed quarterbacks such as Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes have been making them pay as a result.
In fact, Wilson and Rodgers are already listed as favorites to garner MVP accolades, with the Seahawks quarterback topping the list at +200, and the two-time winner at +300.
Our money’s on Wilson, as he’s never even received a first-place vote, and this appears to be his year to take home the hardware.
