Few players in the NFL enjoy attempting to tackle Raiders running back Josh Jacobs in the open field, and after seeing what took place in Sunday’s game against the Falcons, it’s pretty easy to see why.
Jacobs is a physical, downhill runner, and he’s the perfect fit to run behind an offensive line that excels in outmuscling its opponents. They’ve been known to consistently open up running lanes, and Jacobs plows through them.
He showed what he can do with the ball in his hands in Sunday’s game, when he was met by Falcons cornerback Darqueze Dennard. Jacobs is a bit too much to handle for most undersized cornerbacks, and Dennard was no different, as the Raiders running back lowered his helmet and trucked his counterpart.
Ouch.
