Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is so good that he’s causing his own teammates to second-guess their role in coverage.
The Ravens are currently holding training camp, and Jackson has been doing to the team’s defense what he did to opposing ones last season — torching them.
At one point during a scrimmage, Jackson used a play-fake to fool the Ravens defensive backs, and he then found a wide-open Mark Andrews in the end zone for a touchdown.
The play-fake and crossing route caused a miscommunication in the Ravens secondary, specifically involving safeties Earl Thomas and Chuck Clark. In fact, a skirmish among the two teammates broke out, and Thomas was sent home from practice as a result.
Jackson is simply that good.
