Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Russell WIlson and Kyler Murray may draw all the attention for their ability to throw from different arm angles, but one veteran quarterback did exactly that on Sunday.
Lions quarterback Matt Stafford may not be known for his mobility, or for creating big plays with an unorthodox throwing motion, but he does apparently possess the ability to do exactly that.
Stafford was under heavy pressure from the Jaguars during one particular play in the first half of Sunday’s game, and the pocket collapsed on him. He wasn’t fazed, though, as he calmly used a cheeky sidearm throw to get a completion and prevent a negative play.
Slick arm angle by Stafford there.
