Lions quarterback Matt Stafford tried to mimic Patrick Mahomes in Sunday’s game against the Bears, and, yeah, it didn’t end well for him.
Mahomes — like Kyler Murray — is a master of using multiple arm angles to throw the football, leveraging his baseball background. Stafford has been known to do that from time to time as well, busting out some sidearm throws when the pocket collapses.
That’s exactly what he did on Sunday, but it failed miserably. Stafford attempted a sidearm throw, but it went right to Bears defensive end Bilal Nichols for the interception.
That one’s not gonna look pretty when the Lions watch it during this week’s film session.
