Colts veteran quarterback Philip Rivers was the last line of defense in attempting to stop the Ravens from scoring a defensive touchdown in Sunday’s game, and that’s not a situation that generally will end well for him.
And, sure enough, it did not.
A Jonathon Taylor fumble did Rivers no favors, as they were controlling the game, up 7-0, with a chance to put up more points. But the Ravens picked up the loose ball, and they were off to the races.
The 38-year-old was the only player with a chance to tackle Ravens safety Chuck Clark, and he did take a decent angle, but tripped over his own feet, and ate grass as a result.
Ouch.
