The Bears made a clear effort to not let Titans receiver AJ Brown beat them in Sunday’s game, and yet, it didn’t matter.
Chicago’s defensive scheme was centered around rolling coverage to take away Brown, as he saw a cornerback and safety covering him on virtually every snap. The Titans offense really does hinge on Brown and Derrick Henry, and opposing teams are aware of it.
Unfortunately for the Bears, they simply could not stop Brown, no matter how hard they tried. On one particular play in the second quarter of the game, the Titans were looking for their touchdown, and thanks to Brown, they got it.
It wasn’t easy, as the majority of the secondary was focused on him, yet he shredded double coverage for the 39-yard touchdown catch anyway.
Amazing.
