Zach LaVine reacts to Billy Donovan hire while playing ‘Call of Duty’

It was fairly easy to realize that the majority of the Bulls players didn’t like Jim Boylen when he was coaching the team, so everyone was monitoring some of their reactions on social media upon hearing that Billy Donovan was hired as head coach.

Donovan will bring the discipline and structure that the team desperately needs. The Bulls players have had issues with practicing, as well as their work ethic, and those problems have manifested themselves during games. Chicago’s roster does have talent on it, yet the team mustered a paltry 22-43 record this season.

Zach LaVine, for one, clearly did not like Boylen, so many were wondering how he’d feel upon hearing the Donovan news. Apparently, he was playing “Call of Duty,” as NBA players often do when they’re not balling out. It’s funny, though, because he was so into the game, that he really didn’t even seem to care about the news all that much.

“Oh, damn, we got Billy Donovan as our next coach,” LaVine said. “I swear, just came out. Wow. That’d be good. Welp, I’m glitching again.”

LaVine probably grew more fond of the hire once the news sank in. It was a great move by the Bulls organization, with Donovan likely being the best candidate they could’ve landed to come in and coach the team.
