2020 continues to get more bizarre by the day.
Rapper Kanye West, in his first event since declaring himself a presidential candidate, ranted against historical figure Harriet Tubman on Sunday, saying she “never actually freed the slaves, she just had them work for other white people.”
Watch below:
The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver seemingly was none too pleased with Kanye’s strange statement, as he clapped back at Kanye West with a strong message.
DeAndre Hopkins posted a photo of a Harriet Tubman $20 bill, with a simple emoji:
Tubman is one of the most respected figures of 19th century America, so definitely not the right tone for his presidential campaign.
Hopkins catches everything.
